i would like to comment on what olivia said. First of all Angelina Jolies does adopt orphances. her Adoptive Daughter from Ethiopian mother died from aids and the vitmanese child was abandoned at birth. another thing you need to know is that they might be a long list for people waiting to adopt in the western countries but in third world countries their arent many people wanting to adopted children becuase of the lack of recourses. the orphanges are packed with children that needed families and any western couples that want to adopt are able to go to these countries and adopt faster. but offcourse they will need to go through all the necessary progress to see if they are fit parents to adopt a child from they countries. face it! many people in the western countries are not willing to adopt a child from a different racial group becuase they look to different from them. so here is a couple that can afford to look after a big family and dont care if the child is black or asian. this is actually a good explame of the rest of the world that a family can be a rainbow nation. an d this will teach a person not matter their race these people are still people and need to be respected. i think that is a good moral belief. now about that… hey we are all human beings and we make mistakes. that whats we do best. the thing is though we need to learn from those mistakes. and how says this couple has not? the differents between us the Brad and Angelina is that we dont have the press festting on our every mistake and magnifying 100 time bigger.
about her using the press to show off the charity conferences that she attends of makes. the thing you need to know is thats one of the reasons that the UN accepted her to be the spoke person becuase a famous person like her will make us people care about whats happening in the world.its a sad fact but true not a lot of people will look at a middle age man talking about some t crisis that happening in some country you never heard about and how they need our help. tell me how many people will give a helping hand. how many people give a helping to the people that need a helping in their city? so hey everyone knows angelina jolie and her states will actually feed many people that need help and the medical treatment that they need. not matter how much you dislike the fact that she uses her face in these charity events her face brings a lot bucks to help people that dont have anything and not many people can do that.
she is going a lot of good and she is not perfect thats why people like so much because she is just like you and me. she made a difference and putting stamp a in many peoples lives. how many people can actually say that. she will be an amazing mother because she gives and does not accepted in return thats what mother are suppose to do. to love uncondtional and to be kind. hasnt she proven time and time again the big heart she actually poposes? brad pitt will also be a good dad i dont know much about what his done but i think he has learnt a thing or two from the mama of his babies. they will good parents and their child are blessed to have them.

It’s all about helping non-white offspring. That’s why she called her own genetic child a “blob”. We all know Angelina Jolie would rather help a poor black or asian baby than a Russian baby with no parents.

Bet they didn’t have to go through the home study and back ground checks to adopt. I agree with the majority here that feel she has an attention seeking illness otherwise why the media hoopla every time she collects a new child? Would be interesting to know how much time she spends actually raising her collection versus the time her paid mothers put in.
Just another case of money talks..In this country if you’re rich and beautiful, the world is your oyster. I feel sorry for the children
And p.s. for you bleeding hearts, I have 2 children, one adopted and one biological. I spent all my time with them AND raised them both WITHOUT NANNY’S AND HIRED MOTHERS.

I think it’s great when people want to adopt, regardless of what country the child is from. Does this mean that every person who adopts does it for unselfish reasons? Adopted children have been exploited and abused by some parents just as much as biological children. Has any social workers or psychologists investigated these Jolie and Pitt before the adoptions go through?

Sometimes the abuse is not overt– the children are adopted out a misguided need for validation, from outside sources (hence the ever present publicity and photo ops Jolie and Pitt willingly indulge in). A parent’s instinct is to protect their child–why subject these kids to photo ops and all these mundane details? Let the kids be kids, regardlesss of their parent’s celebrity. Extensive travelling can be rough on kids, especially if they feel like they’re competing with someone in their parents lives–whether it’s drugs, a career, charity work, or a craving for adulation and “good” publicity.

What’s worse is that some parents expect a young, un-understanding child to validate their feelings; when this doesn’t happen, the parent possibly retaliates with emotional/physical abuse. This can include neglecting the children or rotating “favorites” amongst the children.

Not saying that Jolie and Pitt are abusive, but when adoption processes are rushed through (as they obviously were here) there is no way to check if the family envirmoment is indeed healthy, that the parents spend quality time bonding with their children, not just photo ops and public carrying abouts. It’s not about jealousy, it’s looking beyond good press and money to see how nurturing of a home enviroment there is.

I’m appalled by the shallow, vicious, hate-filled attacks on the Pitts — primarily Angilina. How Christian! Janice even has the audacity to attack them on ‘moral’ grounds. Deliver us all from such evil! Just goes to prove how angered some are by beauty, fame and good fortune. Judging by the mentality expressed by so many low-life, judgmental, inbreeders… I can only wish the Pitts good fortune, while hoping Angelina and Brad can protect their children from having to deal with stupidity. Ha, good luck with that!

the problem i have with all of this is that she makes the adopted children instant clebs and the whole world knows their names and everything about them. i think that she has a form an attention getting through children illness. instead of making the kids sick to get attention she adopts them and then makes them into props. she promotes all the photo ops and wants to have her picture taken with her children over and over..to create her “image”. i think she is a sad figure and example for adoption and motherhood. she is the worse example of a “stage mother” as i have ever seen.

all these people who are being negative towards angelina jolie have lost the plot. where would all these kids be right now otherwise. rotting away in an orphanage and no one would really care, especially all these negative people. Has this world gone so mad that we now, spend our time nasitly bitching about someone trying to make a difference to kids lives in this world. good on her for using her celebrity status to make a difference, better that than hanging out at A-lister parties getting out of it. she donates time and money to charities and orphanages and has adopted kids who need a home and people want to have a go at her. Grow up and get a life all of you who want to knock her.

Karen and Olivia – I don’t know which redneck small town trailer park you guys come from but your opinions are appalling. These children are now ALL real children of this family. Angeling and Brad are always trying to avoid the press and just help as many children as they can by bringing them into a loving home and family. Shilo will be so lucky to have such diversity in her life. – Olivia – as for self centred greed – when was the last time you got off your fat lazy ass and did something for charity let alone give millions and millions away, and physically work in countries to make sure the money is put to good use. shes so dumb, she is doing this for attention, doesnt she have a career and her other illegitimate children to worry about? obviously these kids are gonna be pretty messed up from all the publicity about her and brad and jen and the whole mess of it all. then there is poor little shilo who is the REAL child of angie and brad and she just keeps on getting big brothers and sister when she should be the oldest child, but her mom needs attention 24.7

As a mother of an adopted daughter from China, I am truly appalled by the negative reactions to Angie’s new adoption. Anyone who has actually experience the love between a mother and their adopted children, would adopt as many children as they could financially support. I am also adopting another girl from China. Although I have the long waiting periods I don’t mind, because as Peggy said, God has her already planned for us.

So for everyone who is so damn judgemental….get a life….you don’t know these people personally.

I can say that wherever you adopt from you pretty much get the kids God planned for you to have – even if they managed to be born thousands of miles from you!

Its sounds like everyone is pallying to the promotion that surrounds Angelina and Brad. But if charity comes from the heart, why do they organise a press conference everytime they donate money.
She is comforting herself, donating money in the hope that it will ease the discontent stirring in the countries where she buys these children from. Because she is rich, she can by-pass the adoption laws. How many people are on the waiting list to adopt children.
And another thing… All her children have parents in severe poverty so it seems easy to corrupt the poor than to enable them. Why doesn’t she adopt orphans.
And finally, donating to “charity” in your work life does erase the bad example shes set for her children by starting a relationship with a married man. What a wonderful foundation for a family…SELF-CENTRED GREED!
